We love good, inspiring true stories at my house. My kids know all about Louis Zamperini from when my husband and I read Unbroken a while ago. We shared stories from his book with our kids and they were fascinated.
My husband and I and my oldest two kids (6th grade and 4th grade) read this book, Running for My Life: One Lost Boy's Journey from the Killing Fields of Sudan to the Olympic Games, in the last few weeks.

It's a pretty easy read and it kept my kids attention. This is a great book with so many great life lessons in it. Lopez Lomong is a great example of faith in God, perserverance, good attitude, etc. We had some great conversations while driving during the weekend about the book.
Have you read it? What did you think? Have you read anything that you {and your family} loved lately?
