I love to read, but don't do it very often. Having four kids and lots of home projects, among lots of other things, leaves me doing other things with my "leisure time" instead of reading.
However, the two weeks I've read and/or listened to three books while driving, painting, and in my spare time while eating or waiting in the garden department at Lowes for the guys with the forklift to get something down from a high self for me.
Here's what I've read:
The Time Keeper
I listened to this book while on a long drive. It was entertaining to listen to and kept my interest. I give it 4 stars on Goodreads.
The Boys in the Boat: Nine Americans and Their Epic Quest for Gold at the 1936 Berlin Olympics
I enjoy non-fiction books sometimes. I listened to this one while I painted bedrooms. It was pretty long, but I enjoyed it and now feel like trying a rowing machine at the gym. 4 Stars
I read (or rather, kind of speed read), The Fault in Our Stars on my phone when I had a few minutes here and there. I kind of felt like I was reading a PG-13 movie. Had a little language and sexual references that I didn't enjoy. The story was interesting and thoughtful. 3 Stars
That's what I've been reading lately. How about you? Any good books that you recommend I read?
