Week 246 Menu

Hi friends! Tuesday night isn't too late to post a menu, right?  I had it planned yesterday, but Monday and Tuesday fly by too fast.  I didn't make it to the computer until now. 

My sweet friend, Julia, (from neighborjulia.com) made me this super cute menu board.

I asked her if she had a menu board that we could display at our menu planning/cooking from scratch booth at the preparedness fair a week or so ago.  She brought hers and she made me one too.  I love it!  I think my nine year old daughter loves it as much as me too, if not more.  :)  Now I just need to buy a dry erase marker so I can write on it.

Menu time...

Monday:  we had sesame chicken salad w/baked wonton chips (chicken has been marinating and ready in the freezer for a month or so)

Tuesday:  grilled caesar bbq chicken, potato wedges, salad

Wednesday:  pizza

Thursday: honey lime enchiladas

Friday: turkey, swiss, avocado sandwiches on Macaroni Grill rosemary bread

Sunday:  chicken pot pie (from my beloved freezer stash)

  1. Our menu switched around a bunch this week! I still made all the meals work but none of them have been on the days that I planned them for! I forgot the missionaries were coming until after I made my menu (so I had to fancy it up from the grilled cheese I was planning), my dad switched what night he was coming, Kaylee's soccer team had a party tonight, etc. Anyway, here's is my menu the way it's actually gone down this week! Plus fun stuff for conference weekend!

    Mon: Chicken and Wild Rice soup, rolls, salad
    Tues: Sausage, Spinach and Tortelinni in the crock pot
    Wed: Pizza party w/ Kaylee's soccer team
    Thurs: Roasted Sweet Potato and veggie burritos, guacamole, rice
    Fri: Leftovers
    Sat: Easy night (eggs benedict and monkey bread for breakfast)
    Sun: Dijon chicken, roasted potatoes, caesar salad (ham and swiss breakfast casserole for breakfast)
