Week 237 Menu

Can you believe that July is almost over?  Crazy! 

My little baby guy is 7 months old now.  That's crazy too!  Time is flying by so fast!
He LOVES food, which he lets us know really loudly whenever we are eating anything.  I spend lots of time throughout the day feeding him.  He loves baby food and loves table food even more.  Good thing he is a cutie! 

All right...menu time.

Monday:  teriyaki burgers, oven fries


Tuesday:  BBQ chicken tinfoil dinners


Wednesday:  German pancakes, fruit



Thursday:  baked potato soup (baking potatoes in crockpot)

Friday: chicken salad sandwiches (maybe a chicken salad BLT, or a wrap instead of bread)


Saturday: broiled parmesan tilapia, quick orzo pilaf


Sunday: crockpot chicken tacos

  1. I can't believe the week is already half way over and I haven't been to the store yet! Here is my menu of what I've made so far and what I'm going to do the rest of the week. I have a lot of nights off this week too :)
    Mon: Alex's Birthday (hamburgers, potato salad, watermelon)
    Tues: Waikiki Meatballs, spaghetti squash
    Wed: Chicken Tacos, crock pot black beans and brown rice
    Thurs: Hawaiian Turkey burgers, sweet potato fries
    Fri: Alex cooks (I'm helping with a baby shower)
    Sat: My mom cooks (My dad's birthday party)
    Sun: Dijon chicken, roasted potatoes, caesar salad

  2. I've been experimenting this week with new recipes and it's turned out well so far! When I have the time, I think I actually really like to cook. Lately I've found that it's something I can do for myself to "recharge" while still being here at home. (That said, it is hard to get too creative when I've got four kids to take with me to the grocery store! I have given up on the idea that we will ever get complimented for our good behavior from strangers and just let them run amuck, to an extent. Only 2.5 weeks until school starts. (Not like I'm counting down or anything.)

    M: sweet and sour beef and veggies on rice (I used BBQ sauce and pineapple juice for the sauce -- best stir fry I've made, and so easy!)
    T: crockpot lemon pepper chicken (you should try this one: http://therecipecritic.com/2013/03/slow-cooker-lemon-pepper-chicken/ ) and potato wedges
    W: spaghetti
    Th: chicken salad sandwiches (maybe I will steal your idea and do bacon on it! Can't go wrong there!!)
    F: French toast and fruit
    Sa: taco salad with homemade salsa
    Su: BLTs? Or something.
