I made this brownie trifle for a baby shower that I hosted this week. It's definitely a dessert that you want to make when you're having a lot of people over. I don't have a picture of it, so you'll just have to imagine what this deliciousness looks like.
Toffee Brownie Trifle
recipe from my cousin, Pam
1 package brownie mix
2 1/2 cups milk
1 small pkg (3.5 oz) instant cheesecake or vanilla pudding mix
1 small pkg (3.5 oz) instant white chocolate or chocolate pudding mix
1 carton frozen whipped topping, thawed
2 - 3 heath candy bars (1.4 oz each), chopped
Prepare and bake brownie mix according to package directions for cake-like brownies using a greased 9x13 cake pan. Cool completely.
In a mixing bowl, beat the milk and pudding mixes on low speed for 2 minutes. Fold in the whipped topping. Cut the brownies into 1 inch squares (or just crumble them).
Place half the brownies in a 3 qt glass bowl or serving dish. Cover with half of the pudding mixture. Sprinkle pudding with half of the chopped candy bars. Repeat layers. Refrigerate leftovers (if any).
