Brownie Pudding

My kids helped me make Brownie Pudding for dessert on Sunday. We hadn't had it for a long time, so the kids had forgotten about this "magical" dessert. They loved it! This dessert is truly magical, you make a brownie batter, then pour "chocolate water" on top. After baking it turns into brownies on the top with yummy chocolate sauce on the bottom.

My daughter wanted to be my food model. Isn't she cute?
Brownie Pudding
recipe from my mother-in-law, maybe?

Stir together:
1 c. flour
3/4 c. sugar
2 T. cocoa
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder

In separate bowl mix:
1/2 c. milk
2 T. oil
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine dry ingredients with milk mixture. Mix until smooth. Pour into a greased 8x8 pan.

In separate bowl combine:
3/4 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. cocoa
1 3/4 c. hot water

Mix well and pour over batter. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.

Delicious as is, or even better topped with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
