This recipe was originally for apple crisp, but I like using peaches instead. You can do either one. Sometimes I make more of the crisp part, since that's my favorite part. Use as much fruit as you want and as much crisp as you want. Either way it's delicious!
Peach (or Apple) Crisp
printable recipe
2 or more peaches (or apples)
1/2 T. flour
1/3 c. sugar (more or less depending on how much fruit you are using)
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
Slice fruit. Sprinkle with sugar, flour, cinnamon and nutmeg. Stir until coated. Pour into baking dish. Cover with 1/4 c. water.
Combine and crumble over fruit:
1/2 c. quick oats
1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/8 tsp. baking powder
1/8 tsp. baking soda
1/4 c. melted butter
Bake in a 325 degree oven for 45 minutes (or less if making a smaller amount). Best served warm with vanilla ice cream.
*Sometimes we feel indulgent and double the crumb mixture. Yum!
