Week 18 Menu and Creamy Cinnamon Syrup

Happy Monday everyone! I'm having a hard time thinking of what to make this week. I had to wrack my brain this morning trying to think of what to make for Dave's work potluck lunch that I'd forgotten about. I had to have something made by 11:00 this morning. So, the kids and I braved the snowy roads and went to Smith's and threw together some chicken salad on croissants.

Anyway...Here's my menu this week. What are you making?

Monday: dinner with friends, hooray, I don't have to cook!

Tuesday: french dip sandwiches

Wednesday: San Francisco Pork Chops and rice

Thursday: easy night

Friday: hamburgers

Saturday: BYU bowl game = game food

Sunday: lasagna

And, now for a recipe. This week was our Christmas Enrichment dinner and we made crepes for Christmas breakfast for everyone. I made this cinnamon syrup that is really yummy on peaches inside a crepe. The syrup was a hit. Here's the recipe.

Creamy Cinnamon Syrup

1/2 c. Karo syrup
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. water
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. canned evaporated milk

Mix everything except the evaporated milk and boil for 2 minutes. Remove from heat. Add the evaporated milk. Makes 1 cup.
