I haven't made fudge for a long time, since I was living at home. I tried my family's favorite fudge recipe today. Thought I'd share it. It's yummy!
Mrs. Eckert's Fudge
4 c. sugar
1 can evaporated milk (I love fat-free)
2 sticks butter or margarine
1 c. chopped nuts
2 tsp. vanilla
12 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
13 oz. jar marshmallow creme
Cook sugar, milk, and butter/margarine to full popping, rolling boil. Turn down heat to smooth, gentle boil and cook to soft ball stage (about 25 minutes). Remove from heat. Add chocolate chips, marshmallow creme, vanilla and nuts. Pour into 9x13 buttered pan and refrigerate.
