I tried a new crockpot recipe today. My hubby told me that he liked it better than how I usually made it. I was confused, since I've never made this recipe before. He meant that he liked it better than how I usually cook a roast and make my own gravy.
Easy Crockpot Beef
recipe from DeAnn DeMill
1 lb stew meat (or I cut up 1/2 of a roast)
1 pkg onion soup mix (I used 1/2 pkg)
1/2 c. water
1 can cream of chicken soup
Mix soup mix, water and cream of chicken soup together. Pour over meat in crockpot.
I cooked it on high for 4 hours while we were at church. It came out really tender and yummy. Or you can cook it on high for one hour and low all day.
Serve w/ mashed potatoes. (I peeled potatoes and steamed them in my rice cooker while I was at church. When we got home they were ready to mash. It was so quick and easy!)
____________
Now on to my menu this week. There are a few repeats from last week, which makes me happy since I don't have to think of more ideas.
Monday: Sesame Chicken w/rice and broccoli
Tuesday: white chili
Wednesday: Oven Fried Chicken Nuggets and potatoes
Thursday: South-of-the-border Chowder
Friday: Pizza
Saturday: Sloppy Joes w/rice-a-roni salad
Sunday: Cafe Rio Pork Salad/Tacos
Now it's your turn to share what's on your menu this week. Check back in a few days for a fabulous chocolate cookie recipe. Have a good week!
